Frank Darakhshan
Most adjusters, homeowners and contractors who deal with Flood Doctor or Restoration Doctor know him as Frank. Frank Darakhshan is the person behind the final invoice on their water-damage claim, and the one who answers when that invoice is questioned.
What he does
When a crew finishes drying a house, the job is not over. Someone has to turn the scope sheet, the photos and the moisture readings into a final invoice, send it to the carrier and the homeowner, respond to the adjuster's comparative estimate, and follow the claim until it is paid or handed to collections counsel. Frank does that work for both companies, across 500 to 600 open claims at a time.
What an adjuster can expect from his invoices
His invoices are built to be checked, not argued about.
- Exact Xactimate line items. Every line carries the Xactimate code, name and description as written. When a carrier sends back a comparative estimate, the two documents can be matched line by line, and each difference is either a removed line or a reduced one.
- Prices with a stated source. Rates come first from Attachment A of the signed contract, then from the company's own market rate for that line. The published price list is used for codes and descriptions, and only prices a line when nothing else does.
- Supervisory hours from the photo record. Hours on site are the span from the first to the last job photo that day, plus 30 minutes of drive time, rounded up to the next half hour. A day with only one photo is flagged for review, not estimated.
- Dry logs that explain the days. The drying report starts with the equipment math for the space and the class of loss. Where that alone does not explain the duration, it adds the real conditions: outdoor temperature and humidity, occupancy, materials and airflow.
If something on an invoice looks wrong, the fastest route is a written list of the specific lines in question. Each one gets a specific answer.
